Gladys Mosher, 90, formerly of Falconer, passed away Tuesday (Nov, 13, 2012), at the Sager Bates Home in Hornell, N.Y.
She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Raymond and M. Vivian Hitchiner Wickmark.
Gladys was a 1939 graduate of Falconer High School, and prior to retire-ment was employed by Falconer Central School as cafeteria manger. During her years employed at the high school, Gladys became known as "Mom" to many students and always has a smile on her face.
She was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion Auxiliary having served as president and was a member of the Levant Cemetery Society. Gladys also enjoyed playing golf at the Randolph Golf Course and traveling to other nearby courses.
Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Holland of Hornell, N.Y.; her son, Arlen "Chuck" Mosher of Florida; daughter-in-law, Marie Mosher of Alabama; three grandchildren: Kristy Holland of Hornell, Kory Holland of North Carolina, and Taylor Mosher of Ala-bama; three great-grand children: Rande and Kiel Pepper of Florida, and Marissa Holland of Hornell; and her dog, Raja.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Chuck" Mosher, whom she married Sept. 20, 1940, in Falconer, and who died April 27, 2010; a daughter, Donna Jean Mosher in 1946; and her parents Raymond and Vivian Wickmark.
