Cub was born on December 26, 1923 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Robert and Julia Larson. He was raised and graduated from high school in Humboldt, South Dakota. He married Edna Irene Warren on August 11, 1945 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 1951. Cub and Edna owned Cub's Corner Café and Cougar Room and the Gateway Café and Moritz Room in the valley.
He was preceded in death by Edna in 2002.
Survivors include sons Edd Larson, of Sumner, Dennis Larson, of Kent; daughters Twyla Lynn Kropi, of Fall City, Dobber Roat, of Duvall; brother Y.Z. Larson, of Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Edna in 2002.
