Linnea Sigrid Carlson

Linnea R. Murray of Bloomingdale Services for Linnea R. Murray (nee Carlson), 97, of Sunrise Assisted Living of Bloomingdale for the past four years, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the United in Faith Lutheran, 6525 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Born March 18, 1906, in Chicago, she died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Bloomingdale. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Linnea was employed by the Milwaukee Road Railroad, where she worked for the vice president of the railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1971. She was also a very active member of Grace Lutheran (NEBO) Church, located in Chicago. She was the loving wife of the late Roy Ringdell and John Murray; dear stepmother of Ellen (Paul) Gast, John (Marge) Murray, Joseph (Alice) Murray, Bridget (Bob) Riefke, Catherine (Don) Blunk, and the late Edward Murray and Maureen Powers; dear stepmother-in-law of Marge Murray and Bill Powers; dear daughter of the late Alma and John Carlson; fond sister of the late Arnold Carlson; aunt of Edwin (Donna) and Richard Thattes; and loved stepgrandmother of 42 and many great-stepgrandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
