GLASS, Inga Viola - It is with sadness and humble thanks to God for a long life that her family announces the death of Inga Viola Glass at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in her 103rd year. Born in Hoganas, Sweden on April 14, 1911, Viola came to Canada in 1913 with her parents, the late Anna (Nilsson) and Carl Elm to settle in Montreal. She was the cherished wife for 50 years of the late Frank Wm. Glass (Oct. 7, 1988) and dear mother of Frances Irwin (Donald) of Woodstock and Judith Jeske of Waterford, Michigan. Much loved grandmother of Geoffrey Irwin of Burlington, Kimberly Irwin-Bogorad (Ilya) of Woodstock and Matthew Jeske of Michigan. Proud great grandmother of Kelly Ann and Justin Bogorad who will dearly miss her sense of humour and loving nature when visiting her. She is survived by her brother Louis Elm (Madeline) of Pointe Claire, QC, nephews David and Robert Elm, Marc Lapostolle, and nieces Dianne and Lise Lapostolle. Predeceased by her brother Hans Elm and sister Elsa Lapostolle (2009). Viola was a faithful member of the Anglican Church of Canada, attending St. Jude's in Montreal, Trinity Memorial in Cornwall, Church of the Holy Saviour in Waterloo and All Saints and Epiphany in Woodstock. Following her wishes, Viola has been cremated.
