hantlangare vid artilleriet i Göteborg 1741; lärfyrverkare därst. 1742 5/8; konstapel 1746 20/9; furir 1748 30/4; sergeant 1749 24/6; underlöjtnant 1760 31/12; natural. svensk adelsman 1772 13/5 jämte sina kusiner Hans Henrik och Gustaf Adolf samt sina bröder Johan Edvard, Isak Otto och Reinhold Gustaf (introd. s. å. på sin avl. farfars farbrors adl. nummer, nr 830); löjtnant 1773 22/4; kapten 1780 19/12; majors avsked 1787 1/5; 'Han reste 1751 till Holland, där han antog tjänst såväl vid sjöstaten som lantartilleriet samt bevistade i Ost- och Västindien många träffningar med de infödda; återkom 1760 till Sverige men utreste åter 1763 till Holland samt deltog i fälttågen 1765 och 1766 emot javanerna, varunder han sistn. år blev så illa blesserad att han måste återvänta till Europa.'
