daughter of VOLKMAR Graf im Harzgau & his wife --- (-Burg Zörbig 27 Oct 1015). The primary source which confirms her parentage and marriage has not yet been identified. Thietmar records the death on 27 Oct of "the venerable Friderun whose guests we were" in a passage recording his stay at the fortress of Zörbig, dated to 1015. Her name could indicate that she was related to Frederuna, sister of Queen Mathilde, second wife of Heinrich I King of Germany.
