Eva M Lofthus

Eva Anderson, 90, Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Eva M. Lofthus was born on July 18, 1922 to Richard and Hilda Lofthus of McVille, ND. She attended Dakota Business College in Fargo and worked at the Cass County Auditor's Office until her marriage on August 10, 1968 to Carl Anderson of Amenia, ND. They were married at New Luther Valley Church in McVille. They lived on the farm at Amenia until 1990. They then moved into Fargo on Rose Creek Drive. They spent winters in Mesa, AZ at Sunland Village East. She was a member of Herby Lutheran Church of Harwood, ND. She was very active in her church and loved her Bible studies. She was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Swedish Heritage Society. She and Carl were very interested in the lives of the nieces and nephews and several cousins. Eva is survived by her husband, Carl of Fargo; brother, Robert Lofthus; sisters-in-law, Sally Lofthus, Darlene Lofthus, Eunice West and Ruth Anderson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death were her parents, Richard and Hilda Lofthus; sisters, June Dobler, Norma Lofthus; brothers, Bjorn Lofthus and Noel Lofthus; brothers-in-law, Walt Dobler, John West and Kenneth Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Mavis Lofthus and Jenny Mae Anderson. Prayer Service: Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 7 PM with visitation from 6 to 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND. Funeral: Monday at 10 AM at Herby Lutheran Church, rural Harwood, ND with visitation one hour prior (10 miles north of Mapleton, ND and 1 mile West). Burial: Monday at 3 PM at New Luther Valley Cemetery, rural McVille. Fellowship and lunch will be held at New Luther Valley Church after the interment.
