Elsie M. Bergman, 81, of Grand Ave. died Tuesday Feb. 4, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born May 30, 1921, in Duluth to Otto L., and Maria Bergman. She graduated from Central High School. Elsie worked as a Telephone Operator for Northwestern Bell until her retirement. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers Robert, and William Bergman. She is survived by her brother Otto E. Bergman of Duluth; one nephew Mike (Sylvia) Bergman of Canada; four nieces Kathy Skelton of Duluth, Debbie (Mike) Tillman of Duluth, Sue Bergman of Topeka, Kan., Laurie (Tom) Engesser of Shell Lake, Wis.; and six grand-nieces.
