Worcester-Constance Pearson of 64 Heywood St. formerly of 244 Belmont St. died Wed. May 14, 2008 in the home of her daughter. She would have turned 87 on May 25th. Her husband of 50 years was the late Robert W. Pearson who died in 1997.
She leaves two daughters, Joanne M. Granger of Sutton and Deborah J. Schonborg and her husband Edward S. Schonborg Jr. of Worcester with whom she lived; five grandchildren, Timothy R. and Christopher W. Granger, Joseph M. and Robert D. Ricard, and Kathleen C. Verdini; and four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Gracie, D'yani, and Domenic. She also leaves Ellie Luksha who helped care for her during the last two months.
Constance was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to America at the age of nine and settled in Worcester, where she lived ever since. Mrs. Pearson was a graduate of Ascension High School and worked 25 years at the former Norton Co. retiring in 1983. After retirement, Constance worked in retail at the former Marcus Co. and Eddy's Department Store. She enjoyed vacationing with her husband at their homes in Dennisport on Cape Cod and Zepherhills, Florida. Her daughters and grandchildren were most important to her.
